A Tale of Rescue
03:46
|
|||
I am stranded on a beach that I've always known
I have fallen in love with this curse though I know it's not home
So I call out for rescue, and I work down to bone
Just searching for something -- no, anything -- to get me back home
I am doubtful of a sail that could capture the wind
But I am speechless! The boat is open to let a doubter step in
Now the sail is my rescue, and I rest down below
Wind so strong it could kill me, but it carries me home
I am buried on the beach where I first began
I live by the water that soon will wash over the sand
The sail is my rescue, and I rest down below
Wind so strong it could kill me, but it carries me home

By Now I Know It Well
03:14
|
|||
I am not the one you know
Forget all you've carved in stone
All risk at enter is your own
Vanity, deeper than my bones
My blood has gone bad
Fuels a blind eye
But don't miss it now!
Every drop is (im)purely mine
So I call it out
Unlock the door
See for yourself
By now I know it well
Dim now, the light has spread so far
Balance: sign of a righteous heart?
My motives, they all are far gone
Caught in a total dark
I'm underwhelmed
My goodness folds
Under the faults
(there's always more)
So come and know
Every fallen cell
I do own
By now I know it well

Motives
04:03
|
|||
Conversations like burning fire.
Can you feel the distance roll in like floodwater?
With loneliness and love it's a thin line,
in your absence either could be right.
Call it what you'd like but I'm undone.
Feeling cold, feeling cold.
Dampening the thoughts of the true right.
Curse my inward sight, leaves you unheard.
Is there love in spite of the many motives of my mind?
Would you fight?
Would you fight?
With loneliness and love it's a thin line,
in your absence either could be right.
Call it what you'd like but I'm undone.
Feeling cold, feeling cold.
Would you fight?
Would you fight?

Peak
03:41
|
|||
Reaching higher ground,
breathing. Lighter sound.
Leaving winter now.
I won't run.
Call this peak where we will stay.
Canopy, keep us at bay.
May it be where we were made to go.
Welcome the collide.
Fill your cup with mine!
Keep the sun tonight.
I won't run.
Call this peak where we will stay.
Canopy, keep us at bay.
May it be where we were made to go.
Stay when life attacks.
Care exists for that.
You're safe within my grasp.
